This native prairie flower gets it name from the fact that the individual flowers can be bent in any direction and they will stay this way for some indefinite period of time.

It's other common name is False Dragonhead.

It is a member of the Mint Family Lamiaceae which can be determined by the characteristic square stem of all members.
