NGC 7479

This giant spiral galaxy lies at a distance of about 140 million light years. It is 160,000 light years across or about the same size as our Milky Way.

This image is an LRGB composite based on a stack of 6 x 10 minute exposures taken with the MX716 camera and the 16" telescope.
